Just a few days ago,Turkish Family and Social Policies Ministry decided to take a step against Minecraft. The game seems to be too violent for their standarts. And now, another major event is being set for Turkish gaming community.
Today, Turkey’s 5 major game retailer has been put under inspection. The lawsuit that’s been requested by Turkish Competition Authority is focusing on Aral, Bimeks, Doğan Müzik, Teknosa and Vatan Bilgisayar’s pricing policies and handling of currency rate changes.
Government’s request of lawsuit is largely welcomed by Turkish players. Most of the said retailers have been accused of applying unjustly marked-up price tags on major game titles before.
Many are still being protested for overpricing games such as Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Civilization: Beyond Earth and Grand Theft Auto V and many others.
